The Hard Work
Dedicated to the hard work that needs to be done at the intersection of society and emergency medicine.
Our work is focused on reducing the risk of death associated with the restraint of agitated individuals.
Physical restraint and chemical sedation carry significant risk, for the individual being restrained and for those performing the restraint. We provide education and consulting for EMS providers, police officers and emergency department physicians and nurses on enhancing the safety of managing agitated individuals.
In some well-publicized tragic cases, people have died. Our goal is to reduce the risk of death by radically reframing the way EMS providers, police officers, emergency physicians and others approach physical restraint and chemical sedation. Doing so enhances safety for the individual being restrained and reduces the risk of liability for those performing the restraint.
